Bravo’s Top Chef: All-Stars winner Richard Blais cooks
dinner at Frog Hollow Farm to benefit Alice Waters’ Chez Panisse Foundation and
The Edible Schoolyard. Blais has designed a menu for Peaches & Tango: A Dinner in the Orchard that focuses on
organic ingredients grown by our local farmers. Performing live music and
accompanied by their dancers is Trio Garufa, considered the most versatile
contemporary interpreters of Argentine Tango.
Diners will enjoy watching Chef Richard Blais prepare their meal with
his dynamic flair and afterwards are welcome to join the dance floor to enjoy
instruction by world class Tango dancers.
Ticket proceeds provide funds for Alice Waters’ The Edible
Schoolyard and The Chez Panisse Foundation, whose mission envisions a school
curriculum and school lunch program where growing, cooking, and sharing food at
the table gives students the knowledge and values to build a humane and
sustainable future.
Farmer Al Courchesne, owner and farmer of Frog Hollow Farm,
has always dreamed about hosting an event pairing together Peaches and Tango. The combination of his legendary fruit with
the romanticism of Tango is a match written in the stars. This year his vision becomes reality. Join us for an evening of fine dining,
dancing, and supporting a great cause.
Richard Blais, a recipient of Gayot Guide’s ‘Top Five Rising
Chefs of 2005,’ appeared on BRAVO’s Emmy Award winning series ‘Top Chef’ and
‘Top Chef Masters’ and on the Food Network’s ‘Iron Chef America’ and ‘Food
Detectives’. He has been featured in numerous
publications such as Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, and Food &
Wine Magazine and is known for his creative take on American food.
